The Council meets monthly to transact business, discuss various phases of our research and listen to speakers on genealogy. See our schedule of meetings and events – all are welcome!
CPGC was organized in October, 1993, and we are proud to celebrate twenty-two years serving the genealogical needs of Connecticut. At present we have about sixty members throughout the nation, most based in Connecticut. Membership is open to genealogical researchers, writers, publishers, instructors, lecturers, managers of genealogical records and genealogists serving heritage and lineage societies. We work with other genealogical societies on projects of mutual concern. CPGC is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization under United States and Connecticut tax laws, and contributions are deductible to the full extent of the law.
